Although I was born in Windsor, England, I migrated to New Zealand with my family when I was five years old — so I consider myself a Kiwi at heart. Apart from a few years living across the ditch in Australia, most of my life has been spent in the South Island, and I now call the harbourside village of Diamond Harbour home.
For most of my career, I worked in international logistics — an industry I knew inside out — until a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2016 prompted a major change of direction. The silver lining was time: time to focus on writing, creativity, and the stories that had been tucked away for years.
The first of those stories became Maisey Morley’s First Christmas, published by Nightingale Books in 2022. More recently, I’ve written The Woes of Weasley – The Diary of an Orange Cat, a humorous, satirical look at life through the eyes of my ginger tabby, Weasley.
Today, I continue to write from my home overlooking the harbour, exploring themes of resilience, humour, and the odd touch of “delicious ambiguity.” My blog includes reflections on life with multiple sclerosis, a few published articles, and, of course, regular appearances by Weasley.
