There comes a point in every cat’s life when he must ask himself a very important question:
Is writing a diary enough… or should it be heard?
Weasley, it seems, has reached that point.
What began as a few observations — shared here, and occasionally on the Diamond Harbour Facebook page — gradually turned into something more substantial. A diary. A record of events. A modest attempt to document the peculiar habits of humans and the ongoing complexities of feline life.
At the time, this all seemed perfectly reasonable.
What was perhaps less foreseeable was that these diary entries would one day be… spoken.
Apparently, humans now enjoy listening to things while walking, driving, cooking, gardening, and — in some cases — doing absolutely nothing productive whatsoever. This has led to the curious phenomenon known as a podcast.
Or, as Weasley prefers to call them, podcats.
So it is that The Diary of an Orange Cat now exists not only in written form, but as something you can listen to.
It has been an interesting process — taking words that were once quietly read and giving them a voice. And, I must admit, a rather satisfying one. Some entries seem to lend themselves to it more than others.
If you happen to be someone who prefers listening to reading (or perhaps doing both at once, which I am told is possible), you can now find Weasley’s diary in audio form here:

There is, I should warn you, a certain amount of neighbourhood drama, mind altering plants involved, and at least one cat fight.
